Another trip to our favourite island of BALI will take place again in November. Surfing, yoga and trips around the island of Gods who is considered to be surfing paradise among surfers

Location
Bali, the beloved island, is a dream destination for surfers, travelers, and culture seekers alike. Known as the “Island of the Gods,” it offers a unique blend of natural beauty, vibrant culture, and excellent waves for surfing. Whether you’re catching the waves at Uluwatu, enjoying the peaceful rice terraces in Ubud, or exploring the lively beaches of Seminyak, Bali has something for everyone. It’s no wonder it’s become a favorite for so many! The first Surftrip on Bali Island took place in November and December 2012. We drove through the most beautiful places of this island and saw why Bali is nicknamed the Island of the Gods and the Surfers’ Paradise. Bali is located in the central part of the Indonesia archipelago between the islands of Java and Lombok. It is one of the smallest of thousands of inhabited islands in the area, with its southern part washed by the Indian Ocean and the northern part by the Pacific Ocean. Bali is hundreds of kilometers of beautiful sandy beaches, ideal for surfing. While traveling, you will encounter active volcanoes, mountain lakes, waterfalls, Hindu temples and Hindu culture with the ever-present scent of incense sticks. Dear and eternally smiling Balinese people who are unlike Islamic-oriented Indonesia of Hindu religion make this island one of the world’s most sought after exotic destinations. The Hindu gods play an important role in the Balinese life, and women offer them sacrifices every morning – palm leaf baskets containing a few grains of rice in addition to flowers. For party lovers, there are many interesting bars and clubs not far from our accomodation on Uluwatu or Melasti beach.

Yoga
Yoga is also an integral part of your stay. Early in the morning, after sunrise, it will beautifully awaken and energize you for the whole day. In the evening, during the sunset, it will stretch your tired muscles after surfing and bring you into the true zen after a wonderful day of surfing. Yoga is an essential part of surfing, helping with stretching before and, most importantly, after surfing, and aiding in the relaxation of muscles and the whole body.
The lessons are led by certified instructor Barbora Hrusova.
“Yoga is tailored to stretch the most used parts of the body and provide relief during a sport that is new to most participants. Our goal is not to turn you into yogis, but to guide you safely through asanas that are most suitable for surfers. During the lessons, I draw from hatha yoga, maintaining the principle of inhalation and exhalation, and at the end, there is relaxation and aromatherapy.”

Surfing
Surf trip to Bali is designed for complete beginners as well as more advanced surfers who not only want to surf but also experience the natural beauty and unique atmosphere of the island of Bali.
The first week will be spent learning on the beginner-friendly beach of Kuta, which has a sandy bottom and is ideal for the first rides. The second week, we’ll move to the slightly more advanced beach of Balangan, where the waves break over a coral reef, but the access to the water is easy and the waves are pleasantly slow. Advanced surfers should not miss Green Ball, Pandawa, and Payung Payung. The choice of the beach will always depend on the current conditions.
During the lessons, you will be taken care of by experienced instructors Aleš Tůma, Barbora Hrušová, and local beach boys. The lessons are supported by regular video coaching, surf theory, and surf video screenings. Foam and plastic boards will be available for beginners, while advanced surfers will have access to harder and faster epoxy boards.
Accommodation
The accommodation is located on the Bukit Peninsula, in the Ungasan area. We will be staying in a small resort with private twin bedrooms, each equipped with its own bathroom. You can also choose a shared room with bunk beds (a spacious dormitory for 8 people) that has a private bathroom with three toilets and three showers. All rooms come with a writing desk, bed linen, a terrace overlooking the pool, WiFi, and air conditioning. We also have access to a fully equipped communal kitchen. TRIPS
Each week, you’ll embark on an unforgettable excursion to explore the natural beauty and cultural richness of Bali.
Ubud & Kintamani Volcano Tour
Our first trip takes us through the Sacred Monkey Forest in the artistic town of Ubud, where we’ll encounter playful macaques in their lush jungle home. Along the way, we’ll pass through breathtaking rice terraces before heading to the mountain village of Kintamani. Here, we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch with stunning views of Mount Batur and Lake Batur.
On our way back, we’ll visit Tirta Gangga Water Palace, a serene retreat surrounded by lush gardens and pools. Nearby, we’ll stop at local coffee and cacao plantations, where you can sample Bali’s famous Luwak coffee, fresh chocolate, herbal teas, and local tobacco. If time allows, we’ll also visit Gunung Kawi Temple, featuring ancient rock carvings set in a tranquil valley.
Tanah Lot & Northern Bali Tour
Another day trip will take us to the Pura Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, a mystical Hindu temple on the shores of Lake Beratan, where sacred ceremonies take place. We’ll continue to the stunning GitGit Waterfall, where you can take a refreshing dip in the cool, cascading waters.
The journey continues through beautiful rice terraces, leading us to Tanah Lot Temple, an iconic Balinese sea temple perched on a rocky outcrop in the southwest of the island. At low tide, you can walk to the base of the temple and experience its spiritual atmosphere.
One evening, we’ll also head to Uluwatu Temple, dramatically set atop a steep cliff overlooking the ocean. This majestic sea shrine is home to mischievous monkeys, who are always ready to snatch sunglasses, hats, or even a purse—offering them back in exchange for bananas! Watching the sunset at Uluwatu is a breathtaking experience.
Manta Ray Snorkeling Adventure (Optional Excursion)
For those looking for an unforgettable underwater experience, we offer a snorkeling trip to Nusa Penida Island to swim with majestic manta rays. We’ll travel by boat, and along the way, our guides will catch fresh fish for a beachside picnic, featuring grilled seafood and freshly made sushi. (This excursion is not included in the package and requires an additional fee.)

GREEN BOOKS
The civic association Green Books promotes a sustainable way of life through reading for joy, games and activities. It aims to ensure that all Indonesian children have access to books and environmental knowledge. It publishes information materials, promotes an environmentally intelligent view of the world by organizing events, games and other activities. Above all, however, it seeks books on nature, which it then distributes to children’s libraries, and initiates the creation of new children’s community libraries and eco-centers.
Indonesia is a landscape full of unique natural treasures. On over 17,000 islands, there are active volcanoes, rainforests, coral reefs, mineral resources, as well as glaciers, areas with amazing biodiversity both below and above the surface. Every day, however, this diverse nature is confronted with the demands of a developing economy. The enormous mass of 250 million inhabitants of Indonesia without ecological awareness devastates this natural unique. And thousands of children are born daily to continue this trend.
Let’s save this paradise together!
Although Indonesia is a country far away, the ecosystem of the planet is so intertwined that the destruction of this tropical paradise affects us all. The landscape is devastated not only by the people themselves, but also by the activities of multinational corporations from which we buy products in Europe. As a result of these influences, the problem that affects us all deepens every day.

INSURANCE
Each participant should have their own travel insurance. As most of us will be doing a sporting activity on the beach, we recommend taking out additional insurance for risk sports and third party insurance, in case the surfboard breaks, in some destinations you are responsible for the equipment you rent and if it is damaged you will have to pay for the damage on the spot.
